細谷由依子　1990年代後半より、想像上の女性を主なモチーフに、鉛筆画と木炭画を制作。展覧会やCD、書籍、雑誌などを通して発表する。また、子供と動物をモチーフとしたシリーズは刺繍作品としても展開。展示だけでなく、ジュエリーモチーフやパラソルや食器などにデザインを提供。自らの散文や物語を作画の土台とするため、展覧会では絵画作品とともに文章も発表している。2008年に作家活動を休止。2017年よりふたたび創作を始め、2021年春、ウェブサイトKINOTARKO ARTにて作品発表を再開。KINOTARKO（キノタルコ）とは、愛猫のキノとタルコから作った複合語。

Yuiko Hosoya started presenting pencil and charcoal drawings of imaginary female figures in the late 1990 through exhibitions as well as commercial products such as CD and book covers, and magazines. Her illustration/embroidery series of animal and children is presented through not only through exhibition but also as the motifs of products such as parasol/umbrellas,  ceramic, jewelry and so on. For her the drive for drawing often comes from her own prose and stories which would be introduced together with her visual work at exhibitions. She took a hiatus in 2008. In 2017 she started creating again followed by 2021 launch of the website KINOTARKO ART.

KINOTARKO is a compound word of her beloved cats called Kino and Tarko.
